If you find yourself in Soho, famished (or even slightly hungry) after a long morning of shopping and walking, go to the corner of WOOSTER and PRINCE. Right outside the Camper store, you will find the Vendleys. Three brothers - chill NY boys who have spent enough time in Cali to say that their burritos and tacos are HELLA good (which they are) - will be there playing hip-hop and serving up some delicious, authentic Carne Asada, smoky and sweet pulled pork tacos, and shrimp tacos with homemade salsas. This yeCalexico won the title of best street cart in NY. Get that.

If you want good cheap Mexican food, go to the cart - called "Calexico" - on the corner of Wooster St. and Prince St. (in front of the Camper shoe store). I had the chicken soft tacos and grilled corn and both were FRESH and very flavorful. Go there - especially if you are feeling nostalgic or craving California style tacos… I'm not kidding when I tell you that these were 4 star tacos. Heavenly.

...Next we hit Calexico, the West Village taco stand started by three young and blond Southern California men. And when I say Southern, I mean Southern, where Cali hits Mexico, hence their name. And holy shit was this stuff good. Their Carne Asada was one of the best tacos I’ve ever had. The meat was high quality and tender, and drizzled with a fresh and limey green crème fraiche type sauce. And the tortillas were moist and homemade. The other Calexico offering was a pulled pork taco with pickled onions. Again, tender, well-seasoned meat with a pickle-y bite and a fresh tortilla...
